Most places in CA aren’t what they are cracked up to be. San Francisco isn’t that great. There are some good places to eat and the Golden Gate and Alcatraz are nice, but otherwise it’s not that great of a place.

The problem, here, is defining a city as a place to visit. I've been to LA many times. I always find something to do when I'm not working ... but these are things that happen to be in or near LA. They'd be worth visiting if they were in or near any other city, or no city at all.

Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Park, Union square shopping. Architecture: Victorians downtown bridges, etc. Largest Chinatown outside China. Theatre (beach Blanket Babylon alone worth a trip). North beach for what’s left of little Italy.

Cross the bridge to Sausilito. Down to carmel and Monterrey.

You could do a week and have a greta time if you know what to do and where to go.

California has the highest poverty rate in the nation. A hundred billion in unfunded liabilities and the 46th ranked k 12 education system down from third in 1970. That’s what liberal control produces.

They’ll be looking like Detroit if it keeps up...
