A half dozen.

Music used to be a much bigger part of my life. Maybe its age thats made me lose interest but I must say everything I hear lately leaves me unimpressed. To put it nicely.

Sam Smith is gay, so you know he’s going to clean up all the awards.

Spoken Word Album

Just an opportunity to promote liberal politicians.

The Audie awards are given out by the audiobook industry in over 20 categories. That's where you'd go if you were looking for the best spoken word recordings.

So many names. So little actual music. A couple of those categories have Jethro Tull/Metallica levels of WTF going on besides. The Dance/Electronica one is really impressive for it’s tone deafness.

So pretty much standard fare for modern music at the top of the food chain unfortunately.

I have nothing at all to do with any of this shit.....the whole list shows how degenerate the whole music scene is today, IMO....all except for classical music, which is all I listen to, with the exception of some really retro type stuff that i grew up listening to.

Wow - great to see Glen Campbell nominated. That song is powerful in a way that is hard to even describe (as is the documentary I'm told).

Here's a link to the video:

Glen Campbell - I'm Not Gonna Miss You

Link to documentary trailer here.

Link to documentary website w/ theaters and dates here.

I care nothing about the Grammys, but I sure hope he wins this award. I know it would mean a lot to his children - especially Ashley.
