Been there, done that. A broken rib will heal sufficiently to play without pain in about three weeks. He is full of bull! Been there, done that? You mean your broken rib healed in 3 weeks while having 250-300 lb pro athletes crash into you at full speed over & over?

he does not have 250 - 300 lb pro athletes crashing into him 'over-and-over-again'. It happens maybe a few times during games. In practice he wears a red jersey and
EVERYONE knows not to touch him. ;-)
Do not make him out to be some kind of hero nor exaggerate a broken rib! I can assure you that the pain is inconvenient but not debilitating nor excruciating. ;-)
