I think Apple has a very bright future because all their products over time get better and Apple's hardware hold their value.

They have a very bright future. I see Apple, Google and Amazon as the big three in 10 years.

Microsoft will still be around, but they will be slowly dying.

Twenty years from now Microsoft will be gone or will be swallowed up by another company unless they can become more innovative.

So, now we’re back to where Microsoft and Apple and Google will be in the future.

But, you’re completely wrong in all of your assessments.

Amazon is not profitable, and is actually losing money, with no real indication of ever turning a profit. They’re in the wrong businesses. Online retail is not going to be a winner for them, since Walmart and Target and other major retailers are getting bigger online and eating Amazon’e breakfast and lunch and dinner. When it comes to AWS, they’re not profitable there either, and are losing money left and right. And, they won’t be able to compete against Microsoft, since MS has very deep pockets and Amazon doesn’t. Amazon will be out of business in less than 5 years.

Google is showing its age, and it’s not really growing, and it’s actually slowed down in revenue and profits. There is no real direction for Google, as long as they continued to depend on search/advertising for over 80% of their revenue. Reality is that, Google is stagnant with no other products to save them in the near or even the distant future. Google will have to diversify, and to do that, they’ll need to finally invest in “real” R&D and not worthless projects.

Apple is still a one-trick pony, and once iPHones lose their “popularity” and their loyal fan-base gets tired of the minimal incremental upgrades, Apple will go back to being what they were in the ‘90s, and they’ll won’t even be a skeleton of what they’ve been in the last 7+ years. Apple won’t ever be able to compete against Microsoft, and they’ve admitted as much by trying to partner up with IBM in order to try to get into the enterprise.

Like I’ve said, Microsoft is the only company positioned to survive any kind of crisis, whether it be economic slowdowns, or a slowdown in hardware or software.
