I have a better idea: Let's go back to the days when police were used mostly for directing traffic.

I don't say this to excuse the behavior of all police officers, but a society that has degenerated to the point where we call the police to deal with a problem rather than dealing with it ourselves really has no business complaining about how they do their jobs.

I hate to see incidents end like this one did, but if this kid was walking around a neighborhood threatening people like this in a place where there was no police department, he probably would have faced a much worse fate than this.
