We need to get Rice and SMU back in the Big 12.

If you’ll do the research, you’ll find that A&M and Missouri were at best two mediocre teams in the Big 12 and now they compete quite well in the SEC. Until we have a true playoff system, we will have never know who the best team is. It is all about creating false bravado so people will spend countless hours watching ESPN to see if some analyst says flattering words about their team.

My daughters going to ‘bama next year, so I am pulling for them.

I’m an Aggie and so is my son and lots of other family, so I want the Aggies to BTHO out of LSU.

A&M lost to ‘bama 59-0.

The only way we’ve competed the past 2 years was because of Johnny Manziel.

I’m confident that we will be competitive in the future, but this year had been tough.

I do think that Baylor & TCU would probably beat A&M, but ‘bama is on a whole different level.

A TCU loss to UT would end their hopes ... opening the door for Baylor to be the team that sneaks in.

Still needs to be 8 teams... The 5 power conference champions, the top champion of the "lesser" conferences (Marshall this year), and 2 at-large teams (so the Notre Dame babies don't cry, since they're too cowardly to join a conference).

This way, like NCAA Basketball, EVERY team has a chance to win it all on Day One... and the Conference titles become MUCH more meaningful... and still there is room for including those teams that had a loss or two that can be explained (star player injured, early loss by a team that is utterly dominant since, etc).

I'd also add the rule that the 2 at-large bids can NOT be from the same conference, but the SEC has been making that a tough call lately. Were it not for the Big 12 having 2 strong horses this year, it would HAVE to be 3 SEC teams in the field of 8.

I had a VP boss at TI that was an Aggie, he had a degree in WAR from A&M.

LSU is tough...I'll root for the Aggies.

If you do your research you'll find that Texas A&M's success in the SEC coincided with Manziel's two years as QB. Even with Manziel, they did not win the SEC West and are 3-4 in the conference this year, and were 4-4 last year, and 6-2 during their first and best year in the SEC.

Being in the much weaker SEC East, Missouri has played one of the weakest SEC schedules ever. They have played few games against the best SEC teams and have lost to Bama and Auburn when they played each once, and they have never played LSU in three years.

Tennessee and Florida have be way down since Missouri has been in the SEC. Both those teams won national championships in the past and dominated the conference during several past years. - Missouri lost to Georgia, the strongest SEC East team this year, 34-0. Only 2 of 7 teams in the SEC East have a winning record this year: Georgia and Missouri.

Missouri has been an average, or slightly better than average SEC team over three years, as has A&M. If you think Missouri has played even an average SEC schedule over three years, then you know nothing about the SEC.

Some people enjoy repeating this myth that the two old Big 12 teams came to the SEC and immediately began to "dominate", but it is nothing but a myth based on nonsense and wishful thinking.

I think Missouri will lost to Arkansas Saturday if Arkansas' starting QB is able to play.

I didn’t say they have dominated. I say they have competed well. They ain’t Vanderbilt, Kentucky, or Tenneessee.

West Virginia played well with Alabama and they are not Top 25 material. KSU should have beaten Auburn. Period. Two fumbles on the goal line. And OSU played well against FSU. So, the Big 12 ain’t chopped liver. My beloved Red Raiders were run over by the Hawgs but I think a good high school team could score on us, the way we tackle. But until all of these teams actual PLAY each other, it is all just idle chatter.

Oh, I know all about the SEC. It is pretty much Alabama and then a log jam a tier below. On any given Saturday, nearly any team outside of the patsies in the SEC East can beat anybody. Case in point, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Says a few sports writers and pundits. It all looks good on paper. They have to actually PLAY each other for anything to be settled.

I don’t think there is a team in the country that wants to play Arkansas right now.

If they had a passing game, they would be stout.

Correct, but there a plenty of folks on other forums who are saying they've dominated.

I’m predicting Arkansas will beat Missouri if the Arkansas starting QB can play. Know nothing about their second QB. The Razorbacks have played tough all year and finally seem to have learned how to win.

Their program collapsed a few years back and may finally have recovered.
