Uhm, the Mayflower passengers were pacifists. Columbus has nothing to with this holiday. In fact, the holiday only accounts for a 3-day feast—not all interactions between Indians and pilgrims.

After the Pilgrims abandoned socialistic agriculture for private plots, they had more food than they could eat. A brisk trade in food & furs sprang up among Indians & Pilgrims. No time for war when you’re improving your lot through peaceful commerce.

Nicole Breedlove is going to have a miserable day tomorrow. She’ll spread her gloom to those around her, I’m sure. Probably an atheist, come to think of it.

We’ll be giving thanks to our generous Lord.
