I’m guessing that the huge mass of “Big Mike” prevented many of the bullets from reaching vital areas. He was shot a bunch of times, stopped, then started coming again at the cop. And then he fired a bunch more.
That sounds like those goofy dreams I used to get where I shot at the bad guy and nothing happens, or the bullet, when fired just goes “ploop” and falls from the barrel.
Um, not sure how to tell you this but, that's not what that dream is about. But don't worry, they have products out there to remedy your situation, I've seen them on TV. Still can't figure out the significance of the couple in separate bath tubs though...
