Here in Connecticut our electric bill will go up between 29% and 59% thanks to the liberal douchebags. I have a real hard time restraining myself every time I see an idiot with an Obola sticker or global warming sticker. I would love to knock some sense into them.

The soviets in Red Hampshire just re-elected their Democrat reps in Congress (except one RINO who trades off with the Dem every two years) AND the Governor. They would rather FREEZE than vote for a conservative...the one who was running for the House got beaten like a rented mule.

Maybe they will incude an ice excluder spray with every panel sold. Probably a re-labeled can of “Pam” cooking spray. Sneaky rascals.

National Grids new winter rate is 24.24 cents per kilowatt-hour. By comparison, the average electricity rate in the United States is 46 percent cheaper than the National Grids rate at only 13.01 cents per kilowatt-hour. I am about 15 miles south of Boston on the coast.
I have Nat. Grid. MY total electric bill for Jan 4-Feb 4 2014 was $217.02
The rate for electric supply only- was .0922 x 1299 kwh = $119.77 (Plus another $97.25 for misc charges from Nat. Grid.= 217.02
For the same kwh usage this winter with the increased kwh rate it would be .2424 x 1299kwh = $314.87,
(Plus at least a $97.25 Misc charge = $412 or more.
I don't believe most New Englanders are aware of what is going to happen to them until the bills come due.-Tom

And it’s gonna be painful. In Reno they add on 3 or 4 “green fees/misc charges” but we just had them put us on the “averaging” plan so at least the bill will be +/- a couple dollars every month year round. Makes it easier to budget.

Capt. Tom, I’m in the same area. Maybe, just maybe, once the tree huggers and the other dolts who live around here see their electric bills, they’ll finally start to wake up....

Capt. Tom, Im in the same area. Maybe, just maybe, once the tree huggers and the other dolts who live around here see their electric bills, theyll finally start to wake up.... Coincidentally- I just got a call a few minutes ago from an electrical supplier , offering me a .1284 kwh residential rate if I lock in for 2 years.
I'm going to ride it out through the winter, as the Nat Grid spring rates are scheduled to come down below 12 cent's/kwh.
Yes I know, Nat. Grid might be lying.
I will take my chances.-Tom

That’s a web image ,, I’m in FL ... I hope to do exactly what’s in the photo ,, solar mounted to a steel roof on the south and west exposures... by far the neatest way to install.
To: Neidermeyer
Lol. When we still lived there we used to joke that in FL freezing was 42 degrees. :-)

“They will produce enough power in the winter to run the fan in the mens room at McSwiggens Bar.”
You haven’t been there on a Friday night, I assume. The Yankee-3 reactor could not provide enough power to keep the air fresh there.
