I watched RG3 a lot when he was a rookie, and I really liked how well he performed in the pocket, as well as his ability to run when forced out of the pocket. He seemed like an unusually gifted talent who had both qualities. And what an arm, a rocket! Then the injury, and he has not played the same since. He plays like someone who lost his mojo and is looking to get it back. I think that rookie year RG3 is still in there somewhere, and I am surprised that Gruden would give up on him so quickly instead of trying to bring it out. You don't have to speculate on the things he could do for the team if he developed. All you have to do is go back to the tape.
I'd like to see him on the Eagles or 49ers if the Redskins let him go. I would also like to see Belichick take a shot at him. If Brady retires in a few years, he'd be the age Steve Young was when he took over for Montana. That is a good analogy.
