I wonder how more sucky films the franchise can withstand. If JJ Abrams lays an egg after the horrid prequels will that be the end?

Carrie Fisher is being cast as Jabba the Hutt (or one of his descendents).

In true British sensationalism, “It’s here!” means, of course, that it’s not here and won’t be here until Friday.

I don’t think Disney spent a boatload on acquiring Lucasfilm to turn out junk - they’ve done a real good job getting the Marvel brand rolling, why would anyone think they’ll do less with a more well-established Star Wars brand?
Taking Star Wars out of Lucas’ direct control is probably the best thing that could possibly have happened to the franchise at this point.

They got a trailer for Star Wars? Is it as fast as The Millenium Falcon?

Princess Leia left Han for Lando, who now insists on being called Leslie.

That won’t be the end. For one thing nobody seems to mind bad sequels in any franchise, for another the next 3 movies are in various states of production already, at least 1 is too far along to just punt.

I will make sure to avoid this rehashing... I sure as heck will not be buying any DVD or going to the movie theater
If its on cable and see it while channel surfing I’ll see if I can watch five minutes
