A whole string of them, actually. When there’s an arson with horses involved in Chicago, I’m pretty sure that is an automatic FBI red flag.
Any arson with horses involved is a red flag anywhere. Chicago, New York State, Florida...any place with race horses (or show horses). Insurance arson used to be called “Italian lightning” when I was a kid in New York.
It’s pretty cruel when they kill horses, though, but lucrative, because what the owner collects on the insurance is huge. Unless he goes to jail...
