It now becomes a numbers game. Over a dozen women vs one man.
Which is itself evidence. I will go out on a limb and say any woman I’ve ever been friends with or worked with would immediately say that I’d never do something like this. Which I wouldn’t.
The numbers game wasn’t allowed to work for Clarence Thomas. Something like 20 women testified he’d always behaved as a perfect gentleman. One testified he’d made some uncouth comments and that’s what got all the media attention.
I have to thank the media for one thing, though. My wife watched the actual hearings during the day, then the evening news with me. She was amazed and appalled at the great difference between what had happened in the hearings and what the news said had happened.
Started her move away from liberal POVs. So I’ve got that going for me.
It’s also reasonable to note some of the accusations are less than 10 years old.
Actually the timeline runs from 1965 to 2004.
