I might cut a LEO some slack, but they train with these --

The LEOs are now programmed to have no hesitation in shooting kids.

Maybe a little more thoughtfulness would be a better idea. But that ISN'T what they are all about.

If he’s in my house, I wouldn’t risk it. But, its a cop’s DUTY to be there and take on the risk of finding out before killing the person. If he’s afraid to take on that responsibility without killing innocent people, then he needs to go become an insurance agent or something.

Well that's fine but you should never be a police officer, nor should anyone else that has your mindset. An officer does not have the authority to shoot first and then determine if there was a threat. An officer MUST be 100 percent certain that innocent life is in peril before he ever discharges his weapon. Even if he has to hold off until he is fired upon. The safety of the public comes first and officer safety second. This is the risk you accept when you put on a badge.
