Mine too. I tried to find a model at the Air & Space Museum, but they didn’t have anything. And .. I’m not into putting together a model.

Also, several years ago, I think it was the history channel, told a story of a lost squadron. They landed in the artic, and eventually it was buried under tons of snow and ice. A group of people dug one of the planes up (a P-38), and it was in perfect condition .. except for a lot of rust. They actually excavated the aircraft .. cleaned and restored it, and then FLEW IT. While watching the film, I couldn’t help but wonder if my dad and/or his brother had been involved in creating that aircraft. As it took off and flew as if it had never been encased in ice for years; I got all teary-eyed .. and then I couldn’t help but wonder if my family had actually been involved with this aircraft. It was weird.
