The olympicscost a fortune because it focuses more on our entertainment than it does the athlete. There is an easy way to do it. Each Olympic sport gets its own venue instead of having 10,000 athletes descend on some city for 2 weeks. And no city can build a venue just for a sport. The venue must be already established and in use.
There are sports competitions for ‘world champions’ every year. The nonsense of the ‘modern’ olympics with all of its politics and propaganda is NOTHING about athletes or sports. One can still strive to be the best with having an olympics
