I think you are right. Zer0 may bump up the just-us department to stir things up a bit more or to join in. That just makes them legitimate targets or crimminals to be prosecuted after the fact.

If they start this crap, I’ll put my money on the Missouri National Guard. It’s an irony really, St. Louis was a haven for the slaves that came through the underground railway.
It has also had it’s share of radicals. So they better think twice about starting up too much trouble. I don’t know how many states actually had a union government and a confederate government during the civil war, but we did.
Southern sympathizer Gov. Fox Jackson, General Price, Blair and Secretary Snead met with General Nathaniel Lyons and Lyons stated that he would see them all and “every man woman and child in the State of Missouri dead and buried” rather than see Missouri secede from the Union.
Then he proceded to run the Govenor and his cohorts out of Jefferson City - they stayed in the southwestern part of the state and a new government was formed in Jefferson City. Lyons, of course was supported by Lincoln, even though Lyons had verbally declared war on the entire state and all of the civilians too.
General William T. Sherman was also a St. Louis Native. No need to expound on his exploits and declarations.
Only two other states had more action that Missouri during the civil war.
I sincerely hope that people don’t light this fire, but a minority group declaring war in a state with an independent well armed majority is not going to end well. JMHO
Lenin, the October Revolution of 1917. Of course, that is not a true comparison with today, because the "minority" Bolsheviks were well-organized and well-disciplined.
But it does show how a small group can overcome a larger disorganized and apathetic group.

Missouri also has the castle doctrine and open carry to go along with concealed carry. In addition, no registration to buy a gun, and the right to transport your gun in your vehicle.
Our Republican legislature has been busy since Obama took office, and the citizens have been busy exercising those rights. Just recently had an open carry demonstration down the streets of St. Louis City. Subtle warning and Thugs might want to take notice.
Fighting a mobile defense is better than static, waiting for them to take the initiative.
