I suspect most of them were too scared and embarrassed. Wealthy people and their armies of lawyers and handlers, not to mention the media and fans, are really intimidating. No one wants to go through what Desiree Washington went through after accusing Mike Tyson. Thinking back to 1985, running afoul of Team Cosby and NBC might not have been the best career move if you were trying to get into show business.

Got it. The law requires women to run the gauntlet to prove rape.

But the one woman who was looking for a bit part on his show, was lead on for a year!!!

You know well before a year whether you’ve got the part. They were perhaps, in the best light, naive.

But these stories have dogged him for so long. Eventually so etching will stick. IMO.
