Liberals love blacks but they love them like a fantasy football team, not like human beings. Black poverty is the crux of the leftist argument. The ethos goes: if you’re a Democrat, you want to help the impoverished African-Americans. If you’re a Republican, you want them to be attacked by German shepherds. As far as actual black culture goes, liberals are disappointed that they aren’t all wearing corduroy blazers with elbow patches and listening to NPR.
They believe black culture has been hit with “systemic” (gawd, they love that word) problems, including a lack of education when it comes to homosexuality and a lack of information when it comes to education. They used to say blacks were starving, but then obesity became an issue so now liberals say blacks are suffering from “food insecurity.” (Kind of like when global warming turned out to be a myth so they swapped it for climate change.)
As far as actual black human beings go, the white middle class is totally lost. They’ve never met one. They have no idea why some women have straight hair and how much that costs. They don’t understand why you don’t see blacks camping and assume it’s because pamphlets don’t show enough diversity.
One of the reasons white, middle-class liberals are so out of touch when it comes to their favorite race is they don’t go near them. They don’t send their kids to poor schools and they make sure their homes are as far away from the lovable Negro as possible. Sure, they have a black friend, but it’s a mulatto girl who grew up white and champions her black power beliefs because her white friends enjoy it. Liberals’ black friends don’t really have black friends themselves because they’re freaks.

The best way to help blacks is to ignore the fact that they’re black and just do what’s right for the country.
Here in Michigan black unemployment is still extraordinarily high but has fallen at a faster rate than anyone else. Race is seldom mentioned by Michigan republicans but republican policies are bringing jobs to where blacks happen to be.
If amnesty goes through the Democrats will have officially kicked Black voters to the curb. They won’t need them anymore because of the new illegal class. Are Blacks aware of this? Highly doubtful. Another sad episode of Democrats abusing Blacks for their own purposes.

Good find and great read! Funny but oh so true. At the end the writer admits he’s white, but he has a handle on the Black community and Black thinking.

True. Because to narcissists, any real feeling (minus sadness and rage) are apart from them, an abstraction. Something somebody else feels.

While I’ve always considered myself fairly well acquainted with black cultural habits, taboos and social norms due to having had a number of black people as friends over the course of my life, I have to say I am curious about this black people not camping thing, and the article said nothing about it that I could see. Black people fish, black people go hunting. Maybe the author is too urban to realize this. Or, maybe there’s something else going on and I’m the one missing a clue, lol. I’ve never really thought about it but can’t recall ever seeing a black person camping. There’s a sort of wackiness about the notion of a black family towing an Airstream heading off to wherever, I guess because it’s just such a stereotypically white thing to do. But again, I’ve never thought about it. Will somebody who knows the answer please chime in, lol?

Kind of like stage props. Sally Struthers is kind of the prototypical white liberal for me.
For all their talk of diversity, it is just talk. White democrats are as big of segregationists as blacks. The richest cities in the US are also the whitest and are also completely democrat run. Rich white democrats deliberately manage their cities to raise the property values to keep blacks out. "Diversity" is a club to beat someone else with.

What a bizarre radical idea.
This article reminds me of the scene in the movie “Fritz the Cat” where Fritz goes into the crow bar spouting off about how enlightened he is, how guilty he feels for being a cat, and how much he knows about the crows’ problems. Then he turns to the crow bartender and says, “Hey boy, give me a drink.”

Stereotypes. My brother in law is 6’4”, lean and as black as they come. When someone asks if he is basketball player he is insulted and lets them know it. His sport is rodeo. He is, or was, a bull rider.
