Somebody already mentioned what ten citizens with suppressed Ruger 10/22 rifles could do to a mob, especially at night.

Hasty suppressor: two-liter soft drink bottle, fastened to the muzzle with a hose clamp. If the barrel is too small to fit the bottle tightly, build it up with electricians tape. No ATF approval needed, throw it away when no longer needed.

If I was in the greater-Ferguson vicinity the last thing that I would do is go popping-off rounds down my street to defend some neighbor's house whom I hardly even know. My plan would be to sit tight, stay indoors, and remain extremely vigilant for me and mine.

You want to know why? Because I have beloved family, a good job, a valuable home, significant assets, and important possessions. There are very, very, very, very, very FEW people in positions of authority who would rise to support decent and honest people like us in a dire situation.

There wouldn't be cheering neighbors carrying us around on their shoulders. The only "thanks" we would receive would to be arrested, cuffed, and thrown into a jail cell while police sorted things out. I don't have so much as a parking ticket in my history...so the last place I am going is jail. Rioters would need to be encroaching pretty close before I gave away my position.

All of us would naturally defend our lives, the lives of our families, and reasonably protect property. At the same time, I would not be driving around in my truck, with armed neighbors in the back, looking for earlybird rioters.

I’m late to the party, but I’m going to chime in and say that you’re right, sadly enough.

Not too long ago I read an article by Jesse Lee Peterson. He said that white people have become terribly weak. They’re completely cowed by political correctness. In this culture, being labeled a racist is almost worse than being a murderer.

I’ll never forget the time Greta Van Susteren interviewed a victim of the knockout game/polar bear hunt. The white guy who took the beatdown at the hands of black thugs was injured badly enough to land in the hospital. Yet he sat there, bleating that he knew the attack wasn’t racially motivated, no, it couldn’t have been....and if he could only speak with the perpetrators, he would like to thank them for letting him live.

Think about that and digest it for a moment. That quisling wanted to grovel at the feet of the thugs who beat him and thank them for not killing him. There are plenty more like him...all we have to do is look at the articles linked here on FR, in which white folks rend their clothing and tear their hair in paroxysms of racial guilt.

Of course not all would refuse to defend themselves...but a good many would. There’s no use in denying reality.
