'Bombogenesis' Replaces 'Polar Vortex' as Global Warming Excuse for Extreme Cold
NewsBusters ^ | November 9, 2014 | P.J. Gladnick

Forget about polar vortex as an excuse for how global warming is causing extreme cold weather. A brave new word seems to have replaced it: "bombogenesis."

The most enthusiastic promoter of bombogenesis in the mainstream media is non climate expert, physicist Michio Kaku. Although Kaku previously used the polar vortex excuse frequently, he has now enthusiastically embraced "bombogenesis" as you can see in his CBS This Morning report below which he delivers in such apocalyptic terms that he claims the weather will be so extreme later this week that the temperature drop will last most of the rest of this month:

"I seriously cannot believe anyone is still beating this dead horse."

They are DEMOCRATS! Bone deep stupid. They still actually believe they did some kind of Good Thing by voting for a Malignant Chicago Outfit connected thief and Communist, just because he was a negro.

(That word has been re-approved by the JCS, now, so I think civilians are permitted to use it, again.)

I survived the Blizzard of 77 in Buffalo, NY. In November of 76 we had two crippling snowstorms one on the 10th and one on the 22nd. Our first snow was before Halloween.

If I get stuck in a blizzard this year, I’m gonna demand I get on local tv and yell “Baraq Obama don’t care about white people”.

I’m gonna guess this eminent “vortex” is going to turn out to be a nothing burger. The Front Ranger in Colorado looks pretty cold, but not 50 degrees below normal.

I’m splitting firewood, putting away hoses, covering water faucets, and draining the waterfall/pond this afternoon. Supposed to be zero by Thursday....

“Bombogenesis” is not a cromulent word. In fact, it’s rather crapulent.

The term bombogenesis has several things going for it. The first syllable, bomb, is very dramatic. The last syllables sound like the religious text, creating a term that to secularists is “*&?@! the Bible!” while describing extreme weather they blame on people.

First ... there is no dictionary definition for this so called word (none that I found, anyway) indicating it is completely invented as recently as the last time dictionaries "interviewed" and included (new) words

Second, it seems bombogenesis is a hyper cyclogenesis (not to be confused with just plain ol' cyclogenesis) which is cyclonic in nature and not a "temperature" thing at all

Third ... I have a headache trying to figure this whole thing out and I have to leave for church, anyway.

Then by mid week all hell breaks loose. It's going to collide with the jet stream, pushing Arctic air all the way down perhaps as low as Florida.

Then NOAA will say that this was the warmest US November in the history of the planet. Bet on it.

Some of my meteorologist friends use both terms—”polar vortex” and “bombogenesis”. But NONE of them believe in “anthropogenic global warming”!!!!

Go figure!!!!

bombogenesis
(Auto-redirected from BOMBOGENESIS)
English
Noun (meteorology) Rapid, or extreme cyclogenesis, often characterized by a barometric pressure drop of 24 millibars in a 24 hour period.

Are we not sure this didn't come from Bombastic Bushkin? ;)

From the article:

There is a name for this. It's called "bombogenesis." That's geek talk for when pressures suddenly drop we just want to scare the beejeebees out of the sheeple. When you have hot air, cold air colliding like what we're going to see over Canada and the American Midwest.

Missed a great opportunity here.
Should have, could have, would have, blamed the Republican election victories that undoubtedly upset Mother Gaia.

"I can remember many years in which the weather really starts to get colder and colder in most of the country by mid-November. "

The local TV weather guy here used to call them 'Alberta Clippers' ... i.e. a cold northern air mass that moved south due to the oscillation of the jet stream.

50-60 years ago, he didn't need CO2 or UN computer models to tell you it was going to get cold as hell when the jet stream dips across the region.

It happened often in the 1970s, (the coldest winters I can recall) and 35 years later, it's happening again. It's natural cycles.

"First ... there is no dictionary definition for this so called word..."

The climate change channel, which has most mercifully given us the names of every winter storm since 2012, says it's a word, and, in the name of his most eminent, Jim Cantore, we must abide.
