Thank, I have looked into some cheaper ones, since this will strictly be a HD weapon if new than no reason to spend too much for something that may never get used. As long as it goes bang thats really all i care about.
There are tac barrels for the SN... but maybe better off just getting a dif gun...
Our home defense weapon is an ithica double 2 trigger 20 ga with #3 buck. 22 inch barrels I believe. It is sufficient. I prefer the 20 ga over a 12ga because at very close range, say 15 feet, they are equally devastating IMO with less risk of recoil fear pulls as there is little spread in the shot.
The model 870, a 12 for you and a 20 for your wife to take care of multiple intruders.
