Say you’re assigned a number when you get there. Something like a polling place number concatenated w/a sequential number.
Have them publish all results online so you can not only check how your vote was counted but you can tabulate the votes yourself.

You are assigned a unique number already. There's no such thing as a 'secret ballot'.
The pundits can tell you how many white men over 50 voted for Obama or any other statistic. Only way they could get that info is to know who voted for whom.

Anyway, there has got to be a way for a voter to see how their vote was counted.

That information is based on exit polling, not the actual ballots.

The problem is, pretty much any way that would allow a voter to see how their particular vote was counted would allow anyone else to see how that voter's particular vote was counted. Which would open the door to massive voter intimidation and coercion.
