If educators scare students too much about the threat of climate change, they may "succumb to denial," a teachers' guide by the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) warns. In its guide, "Teaching Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness," NOAA presents seven "essential principles":
1.Sun is primary energy
2.Climate is complex
3.Life affects climate; climate affects life
4.Climate is variable
5.Our understanding of climate
6.Humans affect climate
7.Climate change has consequences
Principle 7 - "Climate Change Will Have Consequences for the Earth System and Human Lives" - warns educators that scaring students can cause them to succumb to denial:
"Alarming students and the public about the impact of climate hazards, such as droughts and extreme events, can be counter-productive and cause people to ignore the warnings or succumb to denial."

Blatantly lying to students can cause some to succumb to the Truth.
Gorebull Freezing is the reality that keeps frosting the butts of the Gorebull Warming liars.
Like this coming arctic blast this weekend across much of our nation.
Doesn’t bother them at all because in their minds EVERY weather event is just more “proof” of globull warming.
children can understand this, please share
The Earth has been getting warmer or colder for 4 billion years. The only constant in Earths environment is change. It will continue to change till its consumed by the Sun.
Man has been on earth .00075% of Earths age or 300,000 years.
Earth will continue to change after man is long gone.
The universe is dynamic. Suns supernova, galaxies collide, planets are formed and lost in black holes daily.
Man is merely a brief observer, not the cause.
The point is that kids can think and use facts just as well as adults, so it shouldn't be surprising to "educators" that if you teach a half truth to a kid, he's going to come up with solutions that don't fit the indoctrination, and in seeking the truth they will break the indoctrination. These kids may get punished for expressing these thoughts, but that just makes them learn early that some adults aren't very bright, and after that, the indoctrination is no longer possible.
What this means in reality is that the indoctrination taught in schools only works on those who already don't think or use knowledge to get ahead. Those people were destined to be sheep anyway, so I don't think it actually works, and possibly backfires by alerting kids to the impure motives of some adults at an earlier age than they otherwise would have figured it out.
The funny thing to me that these "education" experts are aware of the problem, but think the solution is to soft peddle the half truths to prevent the kids from investigating too hard! That's only going to make them madder quicker since they'll get dissembling, answers to questions that make the teacher look shifty.
I got news for educators. You want to win the kids over? Try presenting them with solid facts, answer all questions truthfully, investigate and report back when a kid asks a question you don't know the answer to instead of shooting them down with dogma. In short, be a good and fair teacher and you will make the world a better place for all of us.

However, severe Gorebull Freezing might wake up some of their brain washed students.

What is alarming is the number of teachers who prey on students.
My sister-in-law is a science teacher. She doesn’t even bother to bring it up.
