I see that you have led a sheltered life. Have you not heard of killings for much less than $50? Drugs and/or the physical need for drugs do strange things to the brain.

There was a country song some years back where the narrator talks about having a friend who lived in New York City, who was killed by someone with a switchblade knife:

Fictitious, I hope, not something that actually happened to a friend of the singer.
