Jesus was a magnificent man. Like you said, he was perfect, but all Christians are not necessarily perfect. I appreciate your thoughts about Jesus.

As for religious tolerance, many Christian missionaries arrived in India and converted many people to Christianity. I am sure Christians in India number in tens of millions. Hindu’s on the other hand do not send missionaries to other countries.

Right now my life is magnificent. I have exceeded my own expectations! I have a wonderful family. One of my kids is studying law, the other will study medicine next fall. I am very happy spiritually, financially and physically. I do not see any need to change anything, including my religion. I am by no means a devout Hindu. Just that I am happy what my religion has allowed me to become.

I am from western India originally. The state of Orissa you mentioned is dominated by communists. Bad things happen there more than other states. All I can tell you is millions of Christians in India are living in harmony with Hindu’s. I used to have many Christian friends in India and all were very fine people.

Actually, entropy12, by definition, no Christian, nor anyone else for that matter, is perfect; ALL have failed to live up to what God requires, yet He loves us enough to send us a ‘get out of jail (hell) free’ card, that being Jesus’ death and resurrection at Calvary. Believing that Jesus IS who He says He is, and then allowing Him to run your life, through the Holy Spirit, pardons us from our sins. The difficult part is putting His will ahead of ours.

Jesus is God, as is the Holy Spirit, as is the Father; three persons in one Godhead, NOT three Gods. Jesus lived for 33 years on Earth, fully man and fully God, yet He chose to depend fully on the Holy Spirit to perform ALL His miracles. In addition to offering us Salvation, as noted in the above paragraph, He also modeled how Mankind can live a holy life through the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Living a Christ-centred life does NOT necessarily mean a life of material wealth, but a life of joy (as opposed to 'hapiness', which is circumstance driven) in all circumstances.
