Yep. I remember that. Of course, they could have started school 30 to 60 minutes later, but I guess that though never occurred to them.

Personally, I'd like to flip off the time changing idea the way they do in Indiana and Arizona.

A decent compromise might be to put in half-hour time zones so the difference would be muted.

Our area (near Pittsburgh) really has more of a midwestern than an east coast feel.

Run the time zone down the Allegheny ridge and call us the east central time zone.

Indiana now accepts DST like the rest of us.
They changed a few years ago. I think Arizona
and Hawaii are the lone holdouts.

I used to live in Michigan on the far northwest edge
of the time zone. In June you’d go outside at 10PM and it would not be quite dark yet. Really messed with my brain!

Oh crap...I can barely remember the regular time zones, now you want to go and add another...I’m doomed. :)
