I lived with a Mormon family for a while.
When I was in Army flight school in 1970, the mishies came to my BOQ room & while attempting to confiscate my beer & cigarettes, they tried to persuade me that Mormon garmies would protect me in a crash & burn even better than our fire resistant flight suits.
Since that meant that a postcrash fire would leave me as an intact headless torso, I said “no thanks”.
Look into this: a majority of ex-Mormons shed their belief in God along with their garmies, & become atheists. Strange?
