Great pic. Used to take my kids out on the bridge to watch the Parade of Ships sail underneath during fleet week.

Love it!
I am sure it frightened a few “American Haters” that were on the bridge.

It’s a great picture, but given the height and span of the GGB it isn’t all that great of a feat.
Particularly for someone trained to land on an aircraft carrier AND fly demo team precision maneuvers with less than 2’ distance between other aircraft.

I hope he had permission to do that. I would be one freaked out motorist.

GREAT!
Check out 13/32 at the link. I am fascinated by the head angles of the pilots and WSOs.

Unimpressed.
The picture below is Fairchild Hall at the Blue Zoo.Now imagine that peculiar structure in the middle of the gap towards the right end of the building not there.
Now imagine one of the Thunderbirds flying an F-4 through there.
Inverted.
Below the roofline.
I don't have to imagine it; I've seen it.

I got to see the Blue Angels out there during Fleet Week in 1997. Most awesome experience ever. Those pilots are incredible!

I’m surprised it didn’t cause a wreck.

Someone in SF told me that after WW2, fighter planes returning from the Pacific ALL flew through the GG Bridge.
