I’ve been sick for a while with alarming symptoms but have been afraid to go to the doctor.
...same here...I’ve been told I should get something checked out, and, really, if there’s anything wrong, I’d rather not know...
Don’t do this. I did and should have gone earlier. It really IS better to know so you don’t live in FEAR. IF something is wrong you put your energy into HEALING instead of TERROR.

BTW, is this the very first time you are going to a doctor about this problem? If so, you will likely just get alot of tests requested, as opposed to any diagnosis.

Praying. Come tell us what it is; some FReeper already had it and got better. You can get lots of info here. Bravo for being brave and going to check it out.
Prayers headed your way, and anything found to be wrong can be addressed. I have had those types of “dreaded” appointments, and just seeing the Dr. and putting a plan together to handle the issue is liberating, far better than the horrible dread of the unknown. Chances are it’s not as bad as you think, but you will be strong and handle anything that comes your way. And you have all of us with you!
