NEW YORK, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A new study suggests the New York City Police Department's stop and frisk practice may be leading to elevated levels of anxiety among young men in the city, especially young black men.

The policy allows police to stop pedestrians and search them for drugs or weapons.

If you are a free person, it should. If you are a slave, what does it matter? You are the property of the State and its agents anyway. The Constitution reads that until you are proved guilty to the extent of a reasonable doubt, you are considered to be innocent. But the reality is that over the years, the sheep traded their birthright for a bowl of Government stew. In the guise of being made to feel “secure”.

“We have a mess on our hands because it is what WE as a society are willing to tolerate. Until that changes, things will only get worse.”

We have the highest per capita incarceration rate *in the world*. We have more citizens in prison than Cuba, China, or Russia.

Please explain to me how we’re not being militant enough.

I don’t rob and I don’t loot. But I would resent the hell out every cop that runs across me going through my pockets, feeling around my balls. that is humiliating as hell to a free person. To a slave it should not matter. I suppose that how one views themselves determines their perspective.

Technically yes. But "wrongfully targeted" is not necessarily the case. A bank has been reported robbed and the robbers speeding away in a particular kind of car. But two similar cars are reported as speeding away. One car has what looks like to an officer of the law to be driven by females, and one car driven by males. Who do the officers chase? Why, logic would assume males robbed the bank, because males are the culprit in over 90% of bank robberies. Is this unfairly targeting males? Of course not.

The facts of the matter are that black males commit far more violent crimes than any other group of Americans. Hispanics not as much as blacks, but appreciably more than white males. I personally don't favor arresting anybody for possession of drugs, but the reality is the stop and frisk law worked. Crime went down. I favor what works.

I have a feeling that is because they 'take no prisoners'. Another reason is that China and Russia have very few 'african-americans' (negroes).

Please explain to me how we’re not being militant enough.

MILITANT is your word, not mine. I said EQUAL JUSTICE.

If those who break into homes and commit rape and murder were given more severe punishment than those who buy a small quantity of drugs from an undercover cop, we would have less rape and murder.
