Another of the old Minolta classics to play with. It's a constant f4.5, highly rated for IQ and really compact. This may just be my new favorite walkaround lens.

All the Sony Alphas use the Minolta A mount.

The Minolta Maxxum AF 7000 is film, and it's not digital.
It's 35mm film.
I'm sure there would be a great market for a company that would make a digital camera body
that could control and use these lenses.
They really are high quality lenses.

Did you skip reading this entire thread?

It has been pointed out many times that the Sony DSLRs work with the Minolta A mount lenses.

The 7000 uses the A mount.

So the Sony Alpha Cameras are digital and use and upload to computers or iPhones?
Can they control the Minolta AF lenses or do they just do manual controls on the Minolta AF lenses ?

I was just responding and didn't read the whole thread.
Between the dog outside, and the phone and other things demanding my time at home, I've been busy.

The Minolta AF lenses work exactly as they were intended to work, 100% function on Sony Alpha cameras. Sony bought Minolta’s camera line out and incorporated a lot of Minolta’s ideas. Sony is coming after the Canon/Nikon monopoly with a vengeance.

Thanks for the info.
I'll have to read it later.
