Should not nurses know better than to do this? I wonder how they know she had symtoms prior than what she told them? She took care of Duncan and saw first-hand what the disease does to people. WHY would she risk this to her friends/family and other innocent people? We laypersons here have more common sense than a critical care nurse?!

Is this one of the nurses that were kissed by Obama? If so, it might solve many problems.

Apparently she was aware of possible danger. She had a low fever and called her “handler”, CDC?. But since her temperature was not quite above the check list number, the idiot she called did not exercise caution in her case.

If I had upcoming work involving Ebola, I would get my mother, who lives with me, to move out of my house. I might survive Ebola, but she wouldn’t.

I have said this for years:

Stop putting doctors and especially nurses on pedestals.

I have met and went to school with many dumb, clueless, and or mean hateful nurses.
And I an including ALL nurses in this. RN’s included.

They are not all the smart, kind caregivers we hope they are.

This moronic, selfish nurse is a case in point.

What kind of supposedly educated person travels to their loved ones while possibly sick with a deadly disease?

If I was possibly infected, I would keep myself as far away from loved ones as possible. Plus try to minimize contact with strangers. This woman is a piece of garbage.

There is such a la-de-da attitude about all of this. Letting people exposed to Ebola just walk around their family and communities until symptoms develop seems absolutely looney.

And still, the imposition of quarantine is strongly resisted. People arriving by airplane from Ebola epicenters just mull around in the passenger lounges until its time to be checked out by immigration.

Just goes to show what sloppy protocols are in place.

I hope somebody files a complaint with the Texas state Board of Nursing.

I’m a nurse with 35 years of clinical experience and think her behavior clearly warrants this.

the ladies in the bridal shop would know if she was feeling ill because she would have mentioned or complained of body aches, headache, fever, intestinal distress

this is horrible and tragic

yet the CDC assured this nurse she was “low risk” and that I believe put her in denial mode

It would also explain why when she arrived in Texas she was reported to be so much sicker so much faster than the other nurse. The next week could be critical for her

This morning the news is reporting that the CDC and officials are now trying to contact those on board her flight from Dallas to Cleveland and the several additional trips that plane made before the plane became suspect and decontaminated.

That ups the persons-of-interest to around 1,000.

But, hey they only sat next to her or where she had been, so according to CDC doctor, they couldn’t catch it by casual contact. [/s]
