I remember when the US Astronauts came back from the first trip to the moon. They were given containment suits to wear before the exited the space capsule just in case there were microbes on the moon.

Now we don't worry about little things like microbes from Africa. Wonder what the CDC would have done if the Liberian had come here with a full blown case of leprosy.

There actually was a special protection level of BSL-5 created for that.
