Australian Dylan Thomas is now referred to as "Spider-Man" by his buddies after the insect crawled into his body and remained there for three days during his vacation to Bali.

Thomas told Australian radio station 6PR about the gruesome situation in which he believes the insect crawled into his body through a scar on his abdomen and eventually made its way into his sternum during a recent trip to the tropical paradise.

"It wasn't really a tickling sensation, obviously once the venom started to affect my skin it was a really burning sensation like a searing feeling," he told the station, according to WA Today in Australia.

The creepy crawler may have penetrated his body Friday night, and by Sunday it was bad enough that he visited a doctor who diagnosed him with a nasty bite.

Everyone acts as though they haven't had an occasional spider crawl up inside of them for a few days.
Sheesh, it happens ALL the time.

So the said spider went through a scar in him? Do they mean it was under the skin inside of him or that it was under a bandage that was covering the scar?

If it made a hole in the guy and climbed around, I would think he would have felt that before the venom hit. If not, they guy has a permanent hole in his body? He needs to go back to the surgeons and tell them to finish their job.

after the insect crawled into his body

Huh? So, the spider crawled inside to get to the insect?

There was an old woman who swallowed a spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don’t know why she swallowed the fly,
Perhaps she’ll die.

Yum! Sharing the hotel swimming pool in Bali with a guy with a huge, open wound. Arachniphobia may be the least of it.

“...after the insect crawled into his body ...”

Itsy-bitsy spider,
crawled up the water spout...

Uh, nevermind.

Well, I would have commented, but everything there is to be said has already been said.

Why is it that just about every article here and elsewhere about OZ starts off with “spider?”
