I thought Seth McFarlane, as liberal as he is, was a good host.

I thought so too but he was panned by the critics big time.....not that it should matter but in Hollywood I guess that means something.

Mixed comments. No one will ever best Bob Hope “Welcome to the Academy Awards or as they call it at my house Passover.”

Last 2 decades trend toward politics. Very liberal. When you give Gorebull Warning and MM oscars for bad science, you’ve crossed the red line, mine not the hero of benghazi’s).

Tonys the gayiest show on TV. I’m the straight guy with his wife in the audience at some musicals.

NPH is very talented. He’s is/was in the Angry Inch. PASS PASS PASS

He’ll be a good host if they don’t keep cutting to his husband in the audience.

All this makes the oscars much diminished in my opinion. Will never get back to what first attracted me. Used to watch ever minute. Now scan through and cut the 4 hours to less than 90 minutes. Works for me.

Like to see the foreign films and hear the music.

I agree with you on all points. The wonderful world we live in now allows us NOT to watch the Oscars. What I do is typically watch the opening act, and 6 speeches on you Tube typically the next day. It is wonderful.

Good source of highlights. I wind up with a 4 hour recording and scan through. Sometimes there’s a special moment, an old-timer or something funny and I can catch those. I enjoy the boobage parade also, but my boss would just as soon scan through.

If Neil Patrick is going to host, I will be looking forward as to what kind of gown he will wear.
