Zone 6, lazy beginner...
Planted Australian Brown onion seeds today, about a month late for overwintering LOL! but I just had to. Maybe some will survive and give me seeds to plant next September.
Onion seeds are started inside two months before the last frost so I’ll have gardening to do in darkest winter- when I need it.
A lettuce plant was left to go to seed so I’m enjoying them now. Took no more work than scooping the seedlings up and placing them in the empty potato rows.
Still have a dozen Beefsteaks ripening on the vine. It’s near a corner of the house and is getting MORE sun now than before. Didn’t plan it that way, just lucked out.
Probably have two more harvests fron the chard coming.
Even just a little gardening makes the winter better.LOL
