Nothing so rare as an expert that knows anything. Nothing so common as an expert who knows nothing.

I thought throwing them in the air to see if they land on their feet might be stressful. But my cat loved it.

P.S. It's true about nine lives.

Nicky Trevorrow, Cats Protection’s behaviour manager, said: ‘Being held or stroked for too long can be very stressful for some cats.

Thanks, Einstein, but who doesn't have enough sense to let a cat to when he wants to go?

Stroking your cat boy does that sound naughty

Cat falling off the top of a grain elevator will land on its feet. Won’t help much, but feet hit the ground first.

My dogs will get up and walk away if they want to be left alone. Cats do the same.

Female raccoons prefer stroking and petting; males are too stressed out already.
Fishers and skunks like to be talked to when they eat.

Be careful about that ceiling fan.

My cat loves lying on my chest and having me use my hand to tightly stroke his head.

Well I do believe that THIS GUY knows everything there is to know about cat behavior.

Really. My cats all tell me exactly when and where they want to be stroked, hugged, scratched and rubbed. Likewise, when they’ve had enough they are equally clear in their communications.

Do these “experts” actually use cats in their studies?

Yep. Cats are smarter than the moron who wrote this.

My daughter and son-in-law have the coolest cat. Their two boys, ages 3 and 10 months, love that cat but sometimes play rough with her. She doesn't scratch or bite when this happens, she just gets up and walks away. If either of the boys pursues her, she climbs or hides.

When she's ready, she will come back and cuddle up with the boys, the Mom or the Dad. You can ignore her for so long and she'll climb on your lap or wrap herself around your legs so you can't. She knows what she wants and when and how she wants it.

I think this is normal, not exceptional behavior for house cats.

If you’re smart enough to comprehend that you have no place in academia.
