The Oregon Music Hall of Fame has a tradition of ending its induction ceremony with "Louie Louie," as the night's performers, presenters and organizers take the stage for a final hurrah. But there was a shock before the song on Saturday night.

"We just lost Paul Revere," Terry Currier told the Aladdin Theater crowd.

They were scheduled to play at a casino just this year on the north side of Dallas, so they were still touring.

I had forgotten that Chuck Barris made a custom rod for them, the Raiders Coach. Thanks for bringing back that memory.

Dick Clark’s “Where the Action Is” was on in the NY Metro Area every day at 4:30. Paul Revere & the Raiders were a highlight act.

Yeah, used to watch that show after skool. Didn't think too much of the Raiders' silly costumes, but their music was great.

Rest in peace, Paul.

Rest in peace, Mr. Revere, and thanks for some great music. The Raiders managed to have a lot of hits despite the “British Invasion” which was going on at the time. I still love listening to “Good Thing” and “Him or Me”.

Thank you, Joe. It’s a sad day.

My parents drove my girlfriends and I to many PR&R concerts, and we often stayed at the same Holiday Inns. Over those summers, the group got to know us little “teeny boppers” and our parents. They were good, clean entertainers.

Like the other gentlemen in the band, “Uncle Paul” was generous and respectful, and was an absolute joy to be around! A happy soul, his always present smile was pure sunshine. May he rest in peace.

Lol. Cute boots. Doncha love the 60s.

Sorry, can't help myself.

I have very fond memories of hearing the Indian Reservation Song on the AM radio, while heading to California with my parents, brothers, and grandparents, all packed into a 68 cutlass oldsmobile towing a crank up trailer behind it.

I have strange a craving for tapioca pudding. I remember sitting at a rest area, out in “the middle of nowhere,” in New Mexico eating tapioca pudding after a nice lunch.

Funny how sounds and tastes are merged together in our memories.

We stayed at desert camp grounds along the way. Sleeping in a desert camp ground is treat (once it cools off). BTW, we didn't have air-conditioning.

Chuck's brother mainly designed & built cars for movies and TV such as the Munstermobile LOL. I can't remember his first name. I just remember seeing him on America's Pickers.

I just saw the American Pickers show again George Barris was the car customizer for the stars and TV including The Batmobile and Kit on Knight Rider. Not for certain he and Chuck were closely related but are close in age and somewhat resemble each other.
