No it isn’t. Most videos would never be viewed unless there was a reason to see it. There isn’t going to be a team watching every cop’s video from start to finish, just in case.
It would only come up if an accusation was made. And that is the real reason for the call for cameras. And that is the real reason cops hate them. They know it will finally provide proof of their unprofessional actions and crimes. They are afraid it WILL prove an accusation is well founded, instead of being a ‘he said, she said” situation against a cop.

Thing is, I’m thinking about the relatively rare “good” cops. and it’s true that normal human behavior can be misconstrued and when every word is recorded, you can’t function in your job in a PC world.
The cops in my area don’t have these cameras on purpose. And one of them candidly admitted it is because some perps come in a bit, uh, roughed up. But it is a small community and everyone knows everyone. Things are handled a bit more old school out here. Saves a lot of taxpayer money.
