I passed through Iguazu in 1989. I flew back to Buenos Aires with a planeload of them, led by an ayatollah. Yes, there are Islamists in Argentina. I can only imagine that their growth there has been exponential.

At http://www.airpower.maxwell.af.mil/apjinternational/apj-s/2008/2tri08/novakoffeng.htm it says there is a Hezbollah group with branches in Argentina and in Venezuela. That brings to mind the direct unchecked flights from Iran to Venezuela with Hezbollah and Hamas operatives...
