A KFC member of staff refused a customer a hand-wipe as it might offend muslim people.
The incident happened at a branch in Leicester which is taking part in a halal trial.
Halal means lawful in Arabic and as hand wipes are soaked in alcohol, which is forbidden by the Quran, KFC in St Georges Retail Park said it could not offer the customer, Graham Noakes, 41, one.
They told me it might offend other customers, said Mr Noakes.
I explained that it wouldnt affect me. In fact - I told them I like alcohol, so it wouldnt bother me in the slightest.
He said he was disgusted at being refused and would not be going to KFC again.
He added: Why shouldnt I be allowed a wipe for my hands?
They use wipes in hospital. What happens when we start being told we cant have wipes there?

I have several “moderate” Muslim dental patients who use mouthwashes that contain alcohol. They say alcohol is not forbidden if it is for medicinal purposes. But I also have some who won’t touch alcohol in any form. I know people who have traveled to the Middle East and had their Listerine confiscated. Muslim medical facilities and hospitals use peroxide products for disinfection, from what I’ve been told.
Can I fake offense at alcohol in my gasoline and demand only 100% real PURE gasoline be provided to me at the same price?
Are you touching the gasoline? Are you getting it on your hands? Should be a huge sign claiming gas contains alcohol rather than ethanol. Those mussies don’t know what that is.
I would truthfully claim that if I can smell it I am ingesting it through my lungs... gasoline with no alcohol for me.
Some merge or blend in better than others.
