In short, the reason we see a greater percentage of bad actors among pitbulls than among other breeds is that unscrupulous breeders are out there by the hundreds upon hundreds, pumping out 10 or 20 litters a year, and have been doing so for many decades. I'd be willing to wager that the percentage of pits whose lineage traces to one of these breeders is shockingly high, 60, 70, maybe even 80%, or more.
