Salida is two and a half hours southwest of Colorado Springs and is renowned for stunning mountain views and small town charm.
One of the few livable places where folks never have to lock their doors or worry about their stuff being stolen. But small town life isn’t for every one.
Some people just like to live in the city. Different strokes for different folks.
As a single woman who doesn’t want to be single forever, small town life might not be the best...but it does sound like a beautiful place.
Don’t remember much about Salida but we spent the night in a cabin south of there in Alamosa. Middle of the night there were burros walking and braying down the road. Were on our way to a centennial ranch outside of Creede. Beautiful country. Fished the head waters of the Rio Grande.
