Coke didn’t want to sell any size but 6.5 FL oz, but in the late 40’s they were getting clobbered by pepsi who were selling 12 oz bottles for the same price as cokes 6.5 oz.

And don’t forget RC Cola, which I always liked better than Coke. Pepsi is a little too sweet tasting, but RC had a bite to it.
