I know this is on Facebook, but this is unreal. Another example of the VA screwing over vets while "The One" Jets off to another multi-million dollar vacation with golfing. Ted Nugent learned about Thomas Vandeventer and set him up with Operationfinallyhome.org which got him the chair. This is what Ted had to say......

FWIW, I suspect in some cases a manually operated wheelchair is medically superior to a powered one. Forces the person to maintain a higher level of physical activity, which has definite medical benefits.
Depends on specifics of the situation, of course.
Force the vermin in DC to take the stairs and not the elevators then. See how they like using their legs instead of ‘unhealthy automation’.

I ride couple hundred miles a week on the local bike trail.
I regularly meet a guy in similar shape, double amputee.
He’s got a bike that operates with his arms. Built like Arnold in chest and shoulders. Suspect he’s a lot healthier than he would be driving around on a motorized cart.
