Grocery carts are germ magnets. I always wipe my cart down with an antiseptic wipe. Most stores even provide them now. I’ve gotten sick much fewer times since I’ve been doing this. Not sure how long Ebola stays viable on inanimate surfaces. I know Hepatitis B can be infectious for months on surfaces. People need to learn how to practice “aeseptic techniques” when handling things. Many common objects are filthy, and hand sanitizer doesn’t kill many of the easily transmissible microorganisms. Think Norovirus and C. diff.
Ain't it the truth! We used to never think of such things.
My husband thought I was silly to wipe carts down until a guy sneezed all over his face and hand and then wiped his hand down the side of his body - I told my husband "there you go, he's the guy that's touching your cart" - now hubby wipes carts down thoroughly - even more so than I do.
