Ok, that was not an appropriate response, I apologize. I honestly don’t have a dog in this fight. For the first time since Jimmy Carter beat Gerald Ford, I really don’t care how this election turns out. Out of all of the troubled incumbents, Roberts seems to be the best to rally behind, but at the same time, why should the people of Kansas have more say over who is the third senator from State of Virginia, than anyone else in the country?
That is the part of the equation that I have the most problem with. However if a Senator is not corrupt and has to live in both Washington and their home state paying for two residences is not easy. On a Senator's salary only of $174,000 a lot of us are thinking "no problem". He can fly back to his home state numerous times a year and own a couple of houses. Kansas house are relatively cheap when you compare them to Virginia houses. I'm a firm believer in term limits, but given the choice between a conservative and a total unknown I will vote with knowledge.
