I remember watching an episode of “Married With Children” when a neighbor burst into the house and asked for some birth control. My father’s health is declining and I’ve been taking him to a lot of doctor’s appointments lately. Invariably, the waiting room has a TV tuned to one these vacuous, nauseating “daytime talk shows”. I don’t know what’s worse, the shallow dingbatty host/hostesses, or the audience full of bubbly-headed morons who clap and dance for them.

I’ve asked a couple times “Can we just turn this off” but to no avail.
