I go to about 10 games a year and obviously enjoy watching him play. He's a very large man. One night he hit a ball that never got above head high and hit the wall on one bounce. It seemed to defy physics.
I hope he'll bounce back. It's ironic that the Fish were floating rumors of signing him to a franchise contract last week. I think they'll have him for 2 more years and then he'll go back to CA where he wants to be.
The other day here in St. Louis I saw Matt Holliday hit a screaming rocket into the upper deck, 110 mph off the bat, and over 460 feet in distance. The only other guy I see who can do that, and regularly, is Stanton.
